This one of our newest projects complete in Kinsey Alabama. By Clearwood Homes, Inc.

We are walling in a carport to make it a bedroom.

Here is a very common carport.	First we support the roof.
And form for a proper slab, level with the house.	Finished slab ready to build on.
Framing of exterior walls before sheathing	After sheathing and house wrap.
Outside Corner with wind strapping before insulation	Same corner after completion.
Bedroom Closest	Outside after vinyl siding.

We pour a new slab on our carport wall in jobs to bring the floor up to the same level as the rest of the house. This makes the living space seem more original to the house with no step down. Also it allows us to make sure that the floor is the right thickness to support the roof. We add J bolts, cement key ways and vapor barrier to have a level floor with no sweating or moisture.
